Event Series Event Series: UUFCC Music Series

Violinist Mark Minnich will be featured on our next Music Series program at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 19. Mark will be joined by violinist Sally Williams Minnich, violist John Roxburgh, and cellist Jonathan Dexter. The program will take the audience on a lively musical journey as they perform classical music inspired by folk tunes from around the world.

Suggested donation is $15; students and children attend free.


Mark Minnich is an avid performer and teacher based in State College. He holds a B.M. in Violin Performance from Bowling Green University, as well as a M.M. in Violin Performance and a M.A. in Music Theory and History from Penn State. Mark has performed in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and China. He has been a soloist with the Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra, the Altoona Symphony Orchestra, and the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra as a member of Revamped, a violin duo with his wife, Sally Williams Minnich. Mark is concertmaster of the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Allegria Ensemble. Currently he is Orchestra Director and Strings Teacher at the Grier School and Strings Teacher in the Suzuki Program at the State College Music Academy. In addition to his work in classical music, he enjoys playing with groups such as jazz combos, Latin rock bands, and new music ensembles. His program on November 19 will include violin duos by Bartok, a Heifetz arrangement of Deep River, and Scandinavian folk tunes arranged for string quartet.
