UUFCC Shout Outs

November 2023

Each month, the Fellowship pays tribute to those who have “gone the extra mile in service to UUFCC.”  This month, we recognize the following: 

 

 

Steve and Mason Wilt and Bonnie and Lillian Rossi for great help moving our growing plants inside before any coming freeze. Steve Wilt did the moving of the last plants into the building. It was a lot of heavy lifting and much appreciated.  Ron Smith moved the plants to their usual places inside.

 

The Blessed Bees did a wonderful job with Hospitality tasks during October. The Ever-Red-E’s Team is up for most of November. If you would like to join a hospitality team, please contact Cee Pollard at: cpollard@lockhaven.edu. It’s fun and you will meet new people!

 

All those who participated in the very successful November 5 annual Chili Cook-off!  Chili makers include: Vegetarian:  Rev. Tracy, Laura Liermann, Bonnie Rossi, Troy Frank, Andy Lau, Amanda Ludberg, Katerina Kostadinova.  Meat Chili: David Highfield, John Golbeck, Meg Barton, Wayne Osgood, Libby Gage, Cee Pollard.  Side Dishes:  Peter Jurs, Laura & Peter Kemper, Laura Liermann, Katerina Kostadinova, Libby Gage, Wayne Osgood, Gretchen Kuldau, Etta Habegger, Jane Rubba, Lynn Melanson, Sarah Diaz, Ann Snowman. Set Up: Ashley Hamlin, Bhakti Chan,  Cee Pollard, Lyle Snyder, Jamie Stitzer, Elaine & Peter Jurs, Doug Archibald, Bonnie Rossi, Gretchen Kuldau, Amanda Lundberg & family;  Clean-up:  Bonnie Rossi, Laura Liermann, Meg Barton, Doug Archibald, Libby Gage, Peter & Elaine Jurs.

 

Apologies due! Meg Barton's chili pot became unplugged during preparation activities.  We apologize to Meg who withdrew her cold chili and to all of you Meat chili lovers who did not get to taste her delicious chili! Meg, you got several votes nevertheless! 

 

Laura Liermann and Doug Archibald for planning and running the UUFCC Fun Full Friends Face Fear Fest 2023 - they put so much amazing work into this event and it was fun for everyone! Libby Gage and Linna Muschlitz for running the pumpkin craft tables, Rev. Tracy and Charlotte Eubanks for hosting the Samhain booth. And all others who helped out!

 

All of our RE teachers this year who we dedicated on Oct 22 - Sue and Rocky, Joy Drohan, Lynn Melanson, Shelley Wilk, Laura Liermann, Bonnie Rossi, Laurie Parmele, Libby Gage, and our RJC who will help periodically with our MS class.

 

Tim Summers for coming to lead a drumming session with our Social Justice Music class and Rachel and Tim for leading our intergenerational drumming circles this fall!

 

Bonnie Rossi for helping to create and organize fun outings for RE families.
